LCL groupage
by sea from China and SE Asia · from 1 m³ · own consolidation warehouses
LCL sea freight from China is for lots that do not need a whole container. We receive cargo at five own warehouses in Asia — Yiwu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh — consolidate shipments from different suppliers and ship them in a groupage container to the Russian Far East ports, then by rail or road to a warehouse anywhere in Russia. Minimum volume is 1 m³.
The service suits online stores, small wholesalers and showrooms buying from several factories who want one shipment under a single House B/L. The rate is per m³ or per tonne, whichever is greater. We handle receiving and photo checks, repacking, Chestny Znak marking at the warehouse, ocean freight, deconsolidation at the SVKh, customs and delivery — one point of responsibility, one invoice.

Service flow
- 01
Warehouse receiving
Suppliers deliver to our warehouse. We check package counts against the invoice and packing list, photograph every receipt and record actual dimensions and weight — the rate is based on them.
1–3 days - 02
Consolidation and repacking
We combine deliveries into one lot, repack or palletise for multiple handlings where needed, and apply Chestny Znak marking right at the warehouse.
1–3 days - 03
Stuffing the groupage box
We stuff the groupage container by the sailing cut-off, record the seal and photos, and issue a House B/L in your name.
1–2 days - 04
Ocean carriage
Carriage on the liner schedule: from China to Vladivostok or Vostochny typically 7–14 days, longer from Malaysia and Vietnam. We track the vessel and warn about schedule changes.
7–14 days from China - 05
SVKh, customs and delivery
The container goes to a temporary storage warehouse (SVKh) and is deconsolidated; each lot clears customs under its own declaration. Then road or rail delivery to the consignee's warehouse and closing documents.
3–7 days + delivery
Problems
Five suppliers in different Chinese cities: each has its own shipment, logistics bill and documents.
Suppliers deliver to our warehouse; we build the lot, repack to your standards and ship it as one consignment under a single House B/L.
A small volume does not justify FCL: 3 m³ in your own 40HC means paying thousands of dollars for empty space.
In LCL you pay only for your own volume from 1 m³ — the container freight is split between shippers.
The supplier shipped LCL on CIF through its own consolidator, and at destination a large bill for deconsolidation and 'local charges' is presented before release.
We take cargo at our own warehouse on FCA and quote all costs to the door upfront, including the SVKh charges at destination.
Unknown cargo quality: without receiving checks you cannot tell what the supplier actually sent or in what condition.
We photograph on receipt, check quantities against the invoice and, if there are defects, file a claim with the supplier before the cargo leaves China.
Documents
The core document set for an LCL shipment and customs release. Each lot in a groupage container moves under its own House B/L and declaration; the final list depends on the HS code and the delivery term.

FAQ
From delivery to our warehouse to release at the port it is usually 2–4 weeks: building the container, 7–14 days at sea, deconsolidation at the SVKh and customs. To Moscow allow about 35–50 days from the warehouse in China. The timing depends on the next consolidation closing date.
The rate is charged per cubic metre or per tonne, whichever is greater (W/M), with a 1 m³ minimum. Warehouse handling, deconsolidation at the SVKh, customs clearance and delivery are added to the ocean rate. That is why exact dimensions and weights in the packing list matter.
In China — Yiwu (textiles, haberdashery), Guangzhou (electronics, footwear) and Shenzhen (electronics, IT). In Malaysia — Kuala Lumpur; in Vietnam — Ho Chi Minh. The supplier delivers to the nearest warehouse.
The first 30 days are free, then from $0.5 per m³ per day. This helps when you build a lot from several suppliers with different ready dates. We also apply Chestny Znak marking at the warehouse so it does not have to be done in Russia.
We photograph every package on arrival, check quantities against the invoice and, if needed, open and inspect cartons against your checklist. Claims go to the supplier before the cargo leaves China, while they can still be resolved.
Under CIF the supplier chooses and pays the consolidator, who often recovers costs through destination local charges for deconsolidation, documents and release. The consignee only learns about them when collecting the cargo. It is safer to buy FCA or FOB and deliver to our warehouse — then all costs are known upfront.
A House B/L in your name, the supplier's invoice and packing list, a warehouse receipt with actual packages and weight, and where needed a certificate or declaration of conformity and an insurance policy.
