GPS cargo tracking in transit
Milestone statuses, live ETA and alerts
GPS tracking of cargo in transit answers 'where is my cargo' without calls to the logistician or driver: the truck's position on the map, milestone statuses and an ETA recalculated from actual movement rather than the planned schedule.
Online shipment monitoring starts at loading and covers every road leg. To be clear about the limits: on the Chinese section and in areas without coverage positions arrive with a delay, and there agents at the crossings confirm the statuses. For reefer trips the body temperature is shown in the same view.

Setup
At booking we fix the planned milestone schedule, alert recipients and, if needed, integration details for your TMS or ERP.
at booking - 02
Tracker linking
We link the truck's tracker or the driver's mobile app to the trip; from loading onwards the position and events flow into the system. You receive a link to the trip.
on the loading day - 03
Milestone statuses
We record milestone statuses: departure, entry to and exit from the border crossing, customs, release, arrival. Where there is no coverage we rely on agents' confirmations at the crossings.
throughout the trip - 04
ETA and alerts
ETA is recalculated from speed, driver working and rest times under AETR and the border queue. A deviation from schedule or temperature corridor triggers an alert, and the dispatcher investigates the cause.
live - 05
Trip history
After unloading the trip is closed; the track, statuses and temp-log are kept in the history and can be exported for a claim, audit or transit-time analysis.

Problems
To find out where the truck is you call the logistician, who calls the driver — the answer comes an hour later and is imprecise.
A trip link with position and milestone statuses is available to you and your warehouse at any time.
A delay at the border becomes known on the planned unloading day — the warehouse and crew sit idle.
ETA is recalculated from actual movement and the border queue, and a deviation from schedule triggers an immediate alert, so receiving can be rescheduled in advance.
On part of the route the tracker sends no data: a foreign section, an area without coverage, equipment switched off.
We back up GPS with statuses from agents at crossings and terminals; a long gap in data itself triggers a check by the dispatcher.
Documents
What is needed to set up monitoring. If the seller arranges carriage under the delivery term, secure access to position and statuses in the contract in advance.
Incoterms

FAQ
Via the trip link we send after loading and in the customer dashboard. They show the truck's position on the map, milestones passed and the current ETA. Statuses are also sent by e-mail as events occur.
No, basic GPS monitoring and milestone statuses are included in the freight rate. Only a custom API integration with your system is charged separately.
On the road section ETA is usually accurate to within a few hours, as it accounts for actual speed and mandatory driver breaks and rest under AETR. The main uncertainty is the queue and controls at the border, so after the crossing the forecast becomes much more precise.
The tracker sends data over the mobile network: in areas without coverage and on some foreign sections positions arrive later in a batch. Meanwhile agents at the crossings confirm statuses, and if the gap lasts too long the dispatcher contacts the carrier.
Yes, we expose events via API and webhooks: position, milestone passage and ETA land in your system automatically, with no manual copying from e-mails. The event format is agreed at setup.
Yes. On a deviation from the planned schedule or temperature corridor the system sends an automatic alert, and the dispatcher finds the cause and gives a new ETA. That way receiving at the warehouse can be rescheduled in advance, not on the unloading day.
