Marking code verification
and aggregation before shipment — at the consolidation warehouse
Checking marking codes before shipment costs less than any error after import: an unreadable code in Russia means re-marking at a temporary storage warehouse or goods that cannot be sold. We scan every DataMatrix at the consolidation warehouse, replace defects, aggregate goods into cartons and pallets and hand over a consolidated code register.
Code aggregation speeds up everything downstream: in the declaration and at acceptance you state or scan the carton or pallet code instead of hundreds of unit codes.

Service flow
- 01
Warehouse intake
We receive the marked goods from suppliers at the warehouse and check package count and SKUs against the packing list.
1 day - 02
Scanning and verification
We scan each code and match it against the ordered-code export: does it read, are there duplicates, does the GTIN match the SKU. On request, print quality grade is assessed with a verifier to ISO/IEC 15415.
1–2 days - 03
Re-marking defects
Unreadable or swapped codes are replaced: reprinted from the reserve or the same code if it is still valid in the system, and each replacement is recorded.
same day - 04
Aggregation
We build aggregates: unit codes into the carton code, carton codes into the pallet code (SSCC), and print and apply the logistic labels.
1 day - 05
Register and shipment
We export the consolidated register by package and aggregate and pass it to the customs broker and the importer for the aggregation document in GIS MT.

Problems
The code is printed on a poor thermal label or stuck on soft packaging — no scanner in the Russian warehouse can read it.
We scan 100% of the codes before loading and reprint unreadable ones onto a flat surface.
The supplier mixed up label rolls: the code for a blue jacket size M sits on a red one size L, and it only shows up when the buyer receives the goods.
We match the GTIN in each scanned code with the actual SKU, size and colour and fix mismatches before shipment.
The container holds thousands of units with no aggregation — the broker has to enter every code and the consignee has to scan every item.
We aggregate into cartons and pallets with SSCC codes and supply a register by package — from then on everyone works with package codes.
Documents
Checking needs a reference — the list of ordered codes and the packing list. Every scanned code is matched against them; the result is a consolidated register by package that goes to the customs broker.

FAQ
Because an unreadable code is effectively no marking: the goods won't be accepted via EDI or sold at the till. In Russia it can only be fixed by re-marking at a warehouse, which costs more and takes longer. At the overseas warehouse defects are relabelled before the container is stuffed.
Scanning answers «does it read or not»; verification grades print quality to ISO/IEC 15415, from A to F. Scanning is enough to control a lot; verification makes sense when starting a new printer, label stock or supplier.
It is linking the unit codes to a logistic package code — a carton or pallet — and registering the link in GIS MT. After aggregation, stating or scanning the package code in documents and at acceptance accounts for everything inside.
For most product groups aggregation is not mandatory, but in practice it saves time in declaration and acceptance. With many units in a container it is always worth doing. We check the rules for your product group before shipment.
The label is reprinted and reapplied. If the code has not yet entered circulation, the same code can be reprinted; otherwise a reserve code is used and the replacement is recorded in the register so the declaration matches what is on the goods.
Yes. After the check we compile a consolidated register of codes by package and aggregate and send it to the customs broker and the importer. It is used to fill in the declaration and for documents in Chestny ZNAK.
