Industrial equipment transport
and heavy units — from factory to foundation
Industrial equipment transport is about integrity as much as delivery: a machine tool, transformer or turbine must arrive free of shocks, corrosion and breaches of factory limits, or the manufacturer voids the warranty. We manage the equipment from factory packing to foundation set-down.
Machine tools and production lines from China usually ship in container lots, with large assemblies on open tops, flat racks or breakbulk. Power transformers travel without oil under nitrogen or dry-air overpressure, and the pressure is monitored all the way.

Data and requirements
We collect the specification and packing list with package drawings, the manufacturer's shock, tilt and preservation requirements, and the site installation schedule.
2–5 days - 02
Transport scheme
We choose the scheme: containers including open top and flat rack, breakbulk or heavy-lift, rail or low-bed; for a line — a shipping plan in lots matched to the installation sequence.
3–7 days - 03
Packing and loading
We check packing and preservation at the factory, fit shock and tilt recorders and secure to plan; a surveyor records the condition before dispatch.
1–5 days - 04
Transit and customs
Sea leg to Vladivostok or Vostochny, customs clearance: HS classification, conformity documents and, where eligible, the VAT exemption for technological equipment.
1–3 weeks - 05
Delivery and set-down
We deliver to site by low-bed or axles, unload, upend and set on the foundation to a method statement with axis setting-out by a surveyor. Recorder data is handed to the client.
2–10 days
Problems
The line arrives in twenty lots, and customs classifies each package separately — different codes, duties and permits.
We prepare one specification for the whole set and settle in advance the classification of goods imported unassembled in several lots.
The recorder shows a shock above the limit, or the transformer loses gas pressure — the manufacturer questions the warranty.
We hold speed and handling to the method statement, monitor pressure en route and top up gas and notify the manufacturer immediately on any deviation.
A machine tool corrodes during the sea voyage: condensation in the container and weak preservation.
We require preservation and anti-corrosion film with desiccant and check the packing before shipment.
Documents
Documents for moving and importing equipment. If a line ships in several lots, the specification should cover the whole set in one document — it simplifies customs classification.
Incoterms
- FCA
- the seller loads at the factory — packing and securing should be specified in the contract

FAQ
Equipment travels on cushioned hydraulic axles or low-beds, with shock and tilt recorders fitted to the unit, and speed is held to the method statement. After delivery the recorder data confirms that factory limits were not exceeded. If there was an impact it shows immediately, and the manufacturer can inspect before installation.
Machine tools are packed in export crates with preservation and desiccant and shipped in containers, with large ones on open tops, flat racks or breakbulk. Shanghai to Vladivostok by sea usually takes 7–12 days, followed by customs and low-bed delivery. Import requires conformity documents under TR CU 010/2011 and usually 004/2011 and 020/2011.
The line is shipped to a plan tied to the installation sequence, so what is installed first arrives first. One specification is prepared for the whole set, and the customs classification of goods imported unassembled in several lots is settled in advance. The line then clears as one item rather than a hundred different goods.
Yes, it is part of the factory-to-foundation cycle: we deliver the unit, upend it to design position and set it with cranes or hydraulic jacks to a method statement. A surveyor sets out the axes, while installation supervision stays with the manufacturer.
Yes. Power transformers travel without oil under nitrogen or dry-air overpressure to keep the insulation dry. We monitor the pressure along the whole route, top up gas if it drops and notify the manufacturer.
Yes, if the equipment is on the list of technological equipment with no Russian-made equivalents: the import is then exempt under subparagraph 7 of Article 150 of the Russian Tax Code. Eligibility is checked by HS code and description before shipment and supported by documents at declaration.
